Lawmakers Say Ocean Carriers Are Undermining US Export Trade, Cry Foul on China
More than 100 members of Congress are calling on federal maritime authorities to probe what they say are ocean carrier actions that undermine American exports by refusing to pick up U.S. goods and, instead, are returning empty after dropping off imports.
In a letter (pdf) to Michael A. Khouri, chair of the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC), the lawmakers voiced concern over reports that certain vessel-operating common carriers (VOCCs) are declining to ship U.S. agricultural commodity exports from ports in the United States.
Rep. Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.), the Republican lawmaker spearheading the bipartisan effort, blames China.

LIMESTONE CO., Ala. (WAFF) - A growing Limestone County town may soon be home to a new school.
The current Elkmont Elementary School shares a campus with both the middle and high school.
Now, planning is underway to build a new, standalone elementary campus.
Limestone County Schools Superintendent Randy Shearouse says this new building has been talked about for a great deal of time.

A recent caller to the Garret Lewis show in Tucson says nearly all of the new COVID cases in the local hospital are illegal aliens.
After his inauguration, Joe Biden immediately opened the US southern border to illegal migrants and fake refugees.
Erics wife is a nurse at Banner Hospital and says the hospitals COVID ward had been empty over the past month but recently has filled up with non-English speaking COVID patients. Interesting timing as the illegal immigrants are welcomed into Pima County. The County will use this to show an increase in COVID and continue to lockdown our businesses.

TSUNAMI WARNING LATEST (1.25pm) GNS Science has downgraded tsunami warnings for New Zealand, advising the largest waves have now passed. A National Emergency Management Agency release says the threat level s now downgraded to a beach and marine threat for all areas that were previously under land and marine threat. It says all people who were evacuated can now return. The advice remains for all areas under beach and marine threat, to stay off beach and shore areas. Doubtless Bay residents in the Far North reporting seeing a surge of water come into the harbour. The surge came!, one resident posted on social media. Over the past hour a strong surge has been flowing into Mangonui Harbour. No tsunami wave as such but more like a strong flowing river stirring up the mud and sand in the harbour.
